Overview and benefit
Children learn about different aspects of sport through listening to different sporting sounds.
Up to three weeks
How it works
There are 12 sport related sounds to choose from with pictures illustrating each one.
- Diving Board
- Table Tennis
- Cheering Crowd
- Start of a Running Race
What to do in the class
Choose two or three different sport sounds. Get the children to listen to the sounds and guess what they think they can here. Reveal the picture once the children have listened to the sound at least once. Act out the sound together. Talk a little about the sport and the picture with the children before moving onto the next sound.
