Overview and benefit
Research shows that babies and young children respond more positively to live music than recorded music and that listening to their parent’s voice is really comforting to a child. It does not matter how good parent is at singing! Singing unaccompanied helps the baby/child to really hear their parent’s voice without distractions.

How it works
This is about introducing young babies to the wonderful wealth of sung nursery rhymes which is part of a child’s musical heritage, and encouraging mums to sing these nursery rhymes to their babies unaccompanied.
