Setting up your website pages
As soon as you have arranged your classes, we can set you up on the MAD Academy website. You will need to complete the on-line website page request form.
Each franchisee has four main pages on the website which they edit and update themselves:
- the timetable page
- the biography page (excluding the testimonials at the bottom of this page)
- the birthday party page
- the nursery page
To get you started MAD Academy Head Office will build the majority of your pages. When you have all your information ready, you need to complete the website page request form and Head Office will begin the building process.
Once they are set up, Head Office will notify you. You will then be able to log-on to the MAD Dashboard with the same username and password with which you log on to this intranet site. You can access the back-end of the website from here or from the homepage of this intranet.
You will now be able to go in and check everything on your pages is correct. You will also be able to add in any missing information. To help you edit your pages there is a comprehensive Website User Guide Website User Guide and you will find reminders of how to do key tasks in the website section of the advice centre.
At this stage your pages will be in draft (i.e. not available to be seen by the general public). You will then need to check your pages are correct and complete any missing information. Head Office will be on hand to help you through all of this process!
You will need to provide Head Office with a photo of yourself in your MAD Academy uniform. The photo should be of your upper body only and be against a relatively plain background. A shady spot in the garden with a bit of greenery behind you works really well! You can see other franchisees website pictures on the Meet the Franchisees page.
Once your pages are complete, Head Office will make them live and link up your venue postcodes to the on-line map search facility. They will also create a news item announcing your arrival on the website. New customers will now be able to find you!
Next steps
Now you are live, it’s time to start your on-line advertising and consider setting up a facebook page.
You will need to continue to go in and edit your pages regularly to keep them up to date and to refresh your news item. You will find more advice on how to do this in the advice centre on this intranet.
You will also need to send to Head Office:
- the address of any venue that you are starting to use or finishing using so that the map database can be updated
- any testimonials you get from parents or customers
- your facebook and/or twitter address
You can find further information to help you manage your website pages once they are up and running in the advice centre on this intranet.
