Equipment required

  • A collection of seaside related items for the children to explore

Duration

  •  One to two weeks

How it works

Collect together an interesting mix of seaside related items for the children to explore. Use plenty of shells, rounded glass pebbles, driftwood and fossils, natural treasure is best if you can find it.

What to do in the class

Seated in a circle – pass a treasure to each child for them to explore, get them to pass each thing onto the left every so often so that they get different things to explore. Play some lovely seascape type music in the background (see tips)

Tips

Meditation type music is nice for this. Try:
