At the end of each half term, you should have a ‘party’ in class. This will take place at the normal class time, but the party content will replace the normal class content for that day. During Party Time, the Hello Song, Warm Up and Good Bye Song will still begin and close the class, but all other activities can be replaced with any party content you choose. This is your opportunity to break away from the normal class format and put your own twist on the classes!
Ending each half term with a party:
- Enables everyone to ‘celebrate’ the successes of the half term and everything they have learnt to do
- Showcases your birthday party skills and themes to your customer base
- Gives you an opportunity to market your party packages
- Allows you to get even more creative and individual in the way you put together your class activities!
Your parties should have a theme. You could either use the birthday party themed material we have provided for your birthday party business, our theme ideas, or you could create your own theme! When choosing your theme you might want to consider seasonal events (a Christmas party in December or a Summer Holiday party in July) or any national events that might be happening (big sporting events or national anniversaries such as jubilees). Also consider the interests of your children and parents.
Build the anticipation for the party in the coming weeks by mentioning it in your class, on website and on your facebook page. Try to decorate the hall in keeping with your theme to make more of an impact and event when your customers arrive, and don’t forget to get Ralph involved by dressing him up and involving him in the party activities. You could dress up yourself and encourage the children to dress up, or to bring their favourite teddy to the party.
