There is a special story, featuring Ralph, all about his fishing trip. Children learn about fishing and enjoy anticipating what Ralph will pull out the river next.

How it works
Children listen to the story of Ralph’s fishing trip as the different items he catches are gradually revealed.
What to do in the class
Have the children standing around in a small circle. Put in the middle the relevant props or pictures under a blue blanket or sheet. Explain that Ralph is going fishing and what that means. Establish that he hopes to catch a fish.
As you listen to the story, do the actions. Then at the appropriate time, gradually reveal what Ralph catches.
