Kathryn is a qualified primary school teacher. Having taught in both Sweden and England she put her career on hold to bring up her three children Oskar, Anna and Olivia. Kathryn’s love of music started with a ballet performance of ‘Miss Polly had a Dolly’ at the age of 3. She went on to learn to play the flute and piano before studying music to ‘A’ level. Her teaching degree was with a music specialism and she made music an integral part of her classroom environment.
Kathryn believes passionately that music and movement are central to a child’s learning and is therefore extremely excited to be teaching with MAD Academy. She is looking forward to having lots of fun with the babies and young children of South Cheshire and helping instil in them the same love of music and dance that she herself has.

Testimonials
"We've really been enjoying MAD! It's energetic, fun and my daughter loves singing and dancing, so its an ideal class for her. The songs are catchy and easy to learn - we especially love Max the Greyhound! It's a good introduction to music and performing and teaches the children self confidence.

Thank you for the MAD sessions we have had this term. I have watched my two children grow in confidence week by week. Fergus in particular has really enjoyed them. At the start he was reluctant to join in but your enthusiastic delivery and easy rapport has both encouraged and developed his confidence. Katy is always excited about coming to her MAD sessions and loves it when her t-shirt comes out of the cupboard. Both Katy and Fergus are looking forward to next term!
