Trish Nawacki

Trish Nawacki is the mother of two children and has been involved in singing and theatrical work for the last 20 years. She has sung in various rock and pop bands playing in both the West Country and South East area.
Prior to joining Mad Academy, Trish was running a local musical/play group for pre-schoolers in Earley and working as an IT Manager for a major construction company. Trish also has further musical teaching experience gained from teaching the guitar to groups of children in Plymouth. Elaine Edmondson

Elaine has worked for MAD academy for many years teaching very successful classes in the Wokingham area and Trish is delighted that Elaine now shares some of her MAD magic across the Reading area too!

Elaine discovered MAD Academy when looking for a class for her daughter, Caitlin, and they both enjoyed them so much, she became a teacher! She began singing and dancing at a young age, and danced with the Devon Dance company, before attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School.

Elaine spent many happy years working as a Butlins Redcoat and Costume Performer, appearing as both ‘Noddy’ and ‘Big Ears’ in Toyland, before moving to Berkshire.

Rachel Newman

Rachel has a degree in Primary Education with Music – specialising in instrumental tuition and currently volunteers with Reading Youth Orchestra playing first violin.   Rachel is a very talented musician and loves to pass on her passion for music to children.  She is looking forward to welcoming you to her classes in Purley on Thames.

Rebecca Holder

Rebecca has been dancing since the age of 3. She attended the Royal Ballet associates for 4 years and qualified at London Studio Centre obtaining a foundation degree in Performing Arts; whilst there Rebecca trained in a variety of different styles including, ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, street, commercial, hip hop, lindy hop, jazz partnering, lyrical and pointe work. Rebecca performed in ‘Coppelia’ with the Royal Ballet Company and has also toured the UK in ‘The Jazz Company’ directed by Petra Siniawski (Director of West End Wicked). She has also completed training in ISTD ballet, tap and Modern, RAD Ballet and a DDI in ISTD modern. Since graduating Rebecca has enjoyed teaching a range of different styles in London, Reading and Cheltenham.  Rebecca has also been teaching a Pre School Dance group called Tiny Tribes.  Rebecca has recently relocated from London to Reading and she is a very talented addition to the MAD Academy team of teachers.

Lucy Seymour

Lucy Seymour – Lucy has been singing and dancing since the age of 6. She obtained O’level Music, Grade 8 singing and and since moving to Reading has been involved in many local
theatre companies having performed principal roles (such as Nancy in Oliver! and Helen in Half a Sixpence)and directed both children and adults. She is also a licenced chaperone for
children in theatre.

She graduated from Reading University with a Masters Degree in Medical statistics. She worked as a statistician whilst continuing dancing, singing, directing and performing. She also teaches maths to private students.

After having her two children, Jacob and Anna, she went back to her office job. Now that they are starting secondary school she decided it was time for a
change and for her to do something that combines her love of working with children, education and music by teaching with MAD.

Lucy now brings her bubbly personality and beautiful singing voice to the MAD Academy classes in Burghfield and Woodley.
