What to expect from a class

Classes

Children join MAD classes suitable to their age/developmental stage which means that the elements of the class are challenging yet achievable. There will be a maximum of 16 children per class, always accompanied by their parent/career. Classes last for 35 minutes for babies and crawlers, and 45 minutes for toddlers to 4 year olds, maximising the children’s attention span. You can join at any time during the term.

Content

Classes consist of a range of elements designed for the specific age and developmental stage of your child. They include:

• Dancing and movement
• Songs and singing
• Instruments to play and explore
• Educational games involving listening and music

• Exposure to a wide variety of styles of music
• Motor and co-ordination development
• Games and activities

Clothing

It’s a good idea for you and your child to wear comfortable, loose clothes with flat shoes/trainers, so you can move easily.

Ralph

At every session the children will be welcomed by the MAD Academy mascot, Ralph. Ralph is a cuddly, cheeky bear who helps teach the children to sing and dance. He is greatly loved by everyone in the class. So, if you want to meet Ralph, click here to find your nearest class.
