Zoë was born and raised in Sheffield where she trained in ballet, tap and
modern dance. After leaving school she began her career in Financial
Services, but continued to indulge her love of dance. Her most recent
adventure in dance was learning belly dancing, which she enjoyed thoroughly!
Zoë loves to travel and in 2002 took 18 months out to travel the world. The
first six months were spent running a ski chalet in France; followed by
visits to America, Australia and New Zealand, and finishing with an overland
trek across Africa. After her travels, she went back to work in Norwich, and
is now happily settled in the city with two young children.
As a mum of a boisterous daughter who loves to dance, they attended local
music classes but couldn’t find a class which focused on dancing too. So,
after working as a Product Manager in the Financial Services industry, she
decided to move away from the corporate world and look for a way to bring
her passion for music and dance to the children of Norwich.
It took a year for Zoë to find what she was looking for, but when she
discovered MAD Academy she knew immediately that the combination of music
and dance, the child development aspects and the free-spirited approach were
exactly what she wanted to offer.
Zoë is running classes in Taverham, Thorpe St Andrew, Poringland and Old
Catton and is delighted to be bringing something so fresh and funky to the
city.
